With the temperatures dropping, it’s time to choose the right layers to help maintain your core body temperature and reduce the risk of injuries, whilst staying comfortable and unrestricted in your movements.
Ahead of the coldest months, we have introduced our new CONTRA winter range, designed to help your running performance during the winter, and help you look and feel great.
Okanangan Half Zip
We wouldn’t want the cold weather to get in the way of you enjoying the outdoors and exercise, so our new Okanangan Half Zip top is designed to provide a comfortable, breathable outer layer to provide the warmth you need for wintry runs. Named after Okanangan parkrun in Canada, this piece of kit will surely be your go-to no-nonsense outer layer during the coldest months of the year.
Made from Tencel yarn, our Okanangan Half Zip is super-soft and breathable, whilst still providing the warmth and cosiness you need to get motivated when it’s cold outside. The design features a high collar for additional warmth when you need it, as well as a longer front zip that provides essential ventilation when you’re a couple of kilometres into your run. For additional comfort, the cuffs of the Okanangan feature CONTRA’s flatlock stitching for extra comfort when on the move.
As is the case with all CONTRA garments, our Half Zip top is available in 10 sizes (B-K) for men and women, providing a comfortable, flattering fit for all and celebrating runners of all shapes.
FTG Beanie
When running in the winter time, covering your head is essential. As a lot of body heat escapes from your head, it’s important to wear a hat to help keep your whole body warm.
The CONTRA FTG Beanie, named after the first parkrun in Japan, Futakotamagawa, is just as well suited to training in the cold, or keeping you warm when you are relaxing. Made from a mix of polyester, wool and elastane, the FTG is designed to be a warm and comfortable staple item for every runner.
Available in green, burgundy or black, with the CONTRA logo adding a little extra colour, the FTG Beanie is a stylish unisex hat that is equal parts style and function. To provide a comfortable fit for all runners, it is available in two sizes, S1 for small to medium adults, and S2 for medium to extra large adults.

Both the Okanangan Half Zip and FTG Beanie are manufactured at our Utenos factory in Lithuania. At CONTRA, it’s important for us to do things differently and ensure that all fabrics used in our sportswear ranges are sustainably sourced, and all products are manufactured to the highest ethical standards.
