We Are CONTRA

We are really excited about launching our brand to the world.
It is early days but we can already see that CONTRA is being appreciated for doing things differently.

CONTRA is the creation of Paul Sinton-Hewitt, the founder of parkrun. Paul’s ambition has been to create a sportswear brand that truly supports and encourages movement for everyone whilst ensuring all sourcing of CONTRA’s range meets the highest ethical manufacturing standards.

For us to live up to these aims we have deliberately set CONTRA on a different track to other traditional sports brands. Our range is available in 10 sizes for both men and women; in big, bold, refreshing colours to celebrate runners of all body shapes. Each of our designs provide quality sportswear which will fit and flatter runners of all sizes when they are on the move. With every step you take, your CONTRA clothing will stretch and move with you.

Made with top quality technical fabrics sourced within Europe; manufactured in European factories where workers are guaranteed good working conditions and a fair wage by law. All this whilst maintaining affordable prices for all of our customers.

Paul created CONTRA and gifted it to parkrun so that its profits could sustain the organisation long into the future, Paul is still very much involved in the brand and works as an ongoing paid consultant, providing product development feedback, and to ensure the original values and purpose continue to guide everything we do.
